I have been advising on property and commercial legal matters for over thirty years. Typically handling more complex or higher value property transactions, commercial contracts and business sales and purchases.
I set up McKenzie Law Solicitors in 2007 and, with Vicki McKenzie, built it into a vibrant and profitable practice, which we sold to Higgs LLP in 2026. I think my own business experience is useful and relatable to business clients.
- Doing a wide variety of work as an in-house Solicitor for Michelin Tyre plc and then Tarmac, doing commercial work, acquisitions, and joint ventures.
- Creating and running a legal department for a leading European firm of Environmental Consultants advising on company and commercial matters.
- Handling significant business and property transactions, including buying and selling some prominent local professional service firms in Shropshire and desirable houses and farms.
- Buying rural land and hills for a leading wildlife conservation charity.
- Having commercial and property work referred to me from other local Solicitors.
- I am a trustee of the Friends of Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital, which donates new medical equipment and infrastructure to the hospital.
