I joined Higgs in 2026 as part of the acquisition of Vialex Limited.
I am a Legal Director in the Vialex legal counsel service, providing commercial legal advice to clients. I predominantly deliver intellectual property and general commercial advice, drawing on extensive experience in drafting, negotiating, and advising UK- and internationally-based clients on a wide range of commercial contract matters.
While IP and contract law are my key areas of interest, I also regularly advise clients on data protection compliance, marketing and advertising regulation, trademark protection and licensing, software supply and licensing, and agency and distribution arrangements. I also have experience working as in-house counsel.
Through the legal counsel service, I work closely with clients to understand their business, objectives and the commercial context in which they operate, enabling me to provide practical, commercially focused advice tailored to each client's needs.
- Advised a leading plant-based foods company on procurement, marketing, HR, R&D, and general commercial matters, maintaining continuity through ownership changes.
- Supported a premium spirits group on advertising, marketing, sales, distribution, HR, and commercial transactions during multiple ownership changes.
- Advised a snack foods group on procurement, marketing, sales, compliance, and corporate matters.
- Assisted a global testing, inspection, and certification provider with commercial contracts and legal support for the in-house team.
- Supported a major timber distribution group on supplier agreements, standard terms, compliance, IP, and collaborations.
- Advised a large, outsourced contact services provider on customer contracts, back-office agreements, procurement, and its SaaS business.
- Other clients include food producers and pharmaceutical companies.
