Adam Shabir

I am a Senior Associate in the Commercial Property team, having joined Higgs in September 2025. Prior to joining the firm, I was an associate at an international law firm, where I gained broad experience advising on a wide range of commercial property matters for both UK and international clients.

I advise on high-value and complex transactions, including portfolio management, acquisitions and disposals, landlord and tenant matters, and development work. I am known for providing practical, commercially focused advice and for managing transactions efficiently from heads of terms through to completion, often working alongside colleagues across our corporate and tax teams.

I work with clients across a variety of sectors, including retail, professional services, manufacturing and logistics, and real estate investment, and I have particular experience acting for growing businesses and established brands on strategically important property transactions.

Recent experience includes advising on:

• The grant of a new lease of flagship retail premises to a national fashion retailer.
• The sale of a UK-based specialist manufacturing business, involving the disposal of its operational premises as part of a wider corporate transaction.
• Acting for a professional services group on the acquisition of several accountancy practices across the UK, including advice on due diligence and the property aspects of each acquisition.
• Acting for a leading Asian food wholesaler, on the £5 million acquisition of a freehold commercial property in London, subject to existing occupational leases, as part of its ongoing expansion and investment strategy.
