I am a commercial property associate, having joined Higgs LLP in July 2020 as a residential property conveyancer. Prior to joining Higgs LLP, I worked at regional firms in the west midlands for 10 years specialising in residential property.
I qualified as an Associate in September 2022 and subsequently joined the commercial property team. Since qualifying I have developed a broad experience of Landlord and Tenant transactions including representing corporate pension trustees, sales, acquisitions, and finance transactions.
I can assist clients with new leases, lease renewals, assignments, and licences. I have represented clients in disposals and acquisitions of freehold properties and supported the business service team with disclosures and due diligence exercises in respect of corporate transactions.
- I acted for a local property investor dealing with an occupier where the existing tenant had vacated without the landlord knowledge. Along with the property dispute team we guided the client through the process of securing the occupier into a lease with a rent deposit as security.
- I assisted a corporate trust (SIPP) in the disposal of a local office block. I guided the client through the sale process, keeping them updated throughout.
- I have acted for clients entering a lease and licence for alterations for a local plot of land to be used for the storage of vehicles.
- I actively participated in team representing a client acquiring a woodland subject to a Countryside Stewardship Agreement.
