Lillie Fisher
Associate - Court of Protection
"I am an Associate in the Court of Protection team, supporting individuals and families in managing the financial affairs of those who lack capacity. I am passionate about delivering a compassionate, practical approach that ensures clients feel supported during times that can be challenging.”
I joined Higgs LLP in August 2021 as a legal assistant within the Court of Protection team. Alongside my role, I completed the Legal Practice Course part-time whilst working full-time at the firm. During this time, I built a strong foundation in supporting vulnerable clients and gained valuable insight into the complexities of deputyship and the management of clients' financial affairs.
I subsequently completed my training contract with the firm, building on my experience across a range of practice areas, before qualifying as a solicitor in the Court of Protection team in March 2026.
My work includes the day-to-day management of deputyship matters, supporting clients who have sustained life-changing injuries, and working closely with families, case managers and other professionals to ensure clients receive the care and financial support they need. I have experience acting on matters where individuals lack capacity as a result of diagnoses unrelated to catastrophic injury, and I can assist with and accept instructions in relation to lay deputyship applications.
I also support contentious Court of Protection matters, including disputes where parties have competing views on an individual's best interests.
I take a client-focused approach, recognising the importance of clear communication, empathy and tailored advice in times where circumstances can be challenging.
