I joined Higgs in June 2026 following their acquisition of McKenzie Law. I enjoyed being an integral part of the small McKenzie Law team for 13 years, building the business and developing our client relationships and professional connections. I am excited to now continue my career with Higgs, having become part of their highly regarded team.
I have gained considerable experience dealing with many varied complex estates, often involving farms, businesses, high-value estates and intestacies.
I find it rewarding being able to help executors and families through difficult times, providing practical advice and support in an understanding and compassionate manner.
Each estate administration is different, and I enjoy the challenge and variety that this provides.
Acting for many older and often vulnerable clients, being patient and understanding is paramount to providing my clients with the best service.
- I have administered many substantial and complex estates involving agricultural and business assets, making successful claims for business property relief and agricultural property relief to mitigate Inheritance Tax liability.
- I have extensive experience helping many clients navigate complex intestate estate administrations, many requiring high-level, detailed genealogy research instructions, with a wide range of different classes of beneficiaries being unknown at the outset.
- I have experience of acting for both professional and lay executors across a wide range of estates.
- I act as professional attorney for several longstanding clients and also as professional trustee in relation to many varied trusts.
