Chandelle McFarlane
Trainee Solicitor - Real Estate
"I am a second-year trainee solicitor currently in the Real Estate Team. I am keen to experience various departments during my training contract and further develop my skills.”
I am a trainee solicitor in the Real Estate team. Before joining Higgs LLP, I worked as a divorce admin officer at HM Courts & Tribunals Service.
I graduated from the University of Law with a First-Class Honours degree in Law and a Distinction in the LPC MSc in Law, Business and Management.
During my studies, I undertook work experience at CPS, volunteered with the Midlands Employment Rights Advice Line and had the opportunity to shadow a judge at the civil courts.
I joined Higgs as a trainee solicitor in September 2024 after a successful spring vacation scheme through the Birmingham Law Society's Diversity Access Scheme.
I am a mentor with the Tyro Lawyer and Birmingham Black Lawyers, providing support and guidance to students 16+ with an interest in working in Law.
Outside of work, I enjoy playing in a local netball league and spending time with friends and family.
