Jordan Higgs
Associate - Medical Negligence
"I am a Chartered Legal Executive covering all areas of medical negligence. I am particularly experienced in urological, ophthalmic and oncological claims.”
I joined Higgs LLP as an Associate FCILEx in March 2026, having previously worked for over 5 years at a regional firm: firstly as a paralegal handling catastrophic injury claims, and then as a Chartered Legal Executive handling solely clinical negligence claims.
I cover all areas of clinical negligence, and have extensive experience dealing with urological, ophthalmic and oncological claims.
I take instructions on behalf of bereaved families to investigate deaths that may be a result of clinical negligence and guide them through the Inquest process.
I build a strong rapport with all of my clients to help support them through the process of bringing a claim for clinical negligence.
I have been featured in various national and international news outlets, as well as on national radio, in support of my clients and the work I have done investigating their claims.
- Significant PSLA award achieved in a circumcision case.
- Featured in the Times, BBC News and various other outlets in relation to Lens Damage Claims against The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust.
- Secured an admission of liability in a claim that had a short time before the limitation period expired, an uncooperative defendant, which required the commencement of Court proceedings and the instruction of multiple experts. The claim is now valued at over £1M.
- Represented a family at an inquest and secured a narrative verdict in relation to their mother choking to death in a care home, and thereafter settled the Estate's clinical negligence claim.
