About me

I joined Navigator in 2018 and deliver our health and safety offering, which includes:

Providing health and safety consultancy services to a diverse client base.
Auditing management systems and processes.
Conducting detailed workplace inspections.
Developing policies and procedures and specific risk assessments (including fire).
Development and delivery of bespoke training solutions.
As an IOSH-accredited trainer, I deliver IOSH Managing Safely and Working Safely.

I've been fortunate in my health and safety career to have worked in a diverse range of environments, from corporate, manufacturing, and logistics to outsourced hard services facilities management, as well as exposure to the sheer number of environments a consultancy role presents.

I’m a Chartered Member of the Institution of Safety and Health (IOSH).

During my career I have been involved in some interesting projects which have included the scoping, procurement and implementation of a software system to manage contractor health and safety activities on behalf of the Scottish Government, and working with a pan-European team in the development and delivery of a behavioural safety programme which was subsequently implemented at multiple manufacturing and logistics sites across Europe.
Blagging a tour of the THORP facility at Sellafield, I still faintly glow in the dark many years later.
After 25 years as a health and safety practitioner maintaining my sanity and sense of humour, those who know me well may dispute these claims.
