Higgs experts recognised in 2026 Legal 500 directory

The 2026 edition of the Legal 500 directory has been released, and we are delighted to see that 32 Higgs LLP experts have been recognised by clients and peers for their technical excellence and outstanding client care, spanning 11 practice areas including Private Client, Corporate, Family Law, Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury, Dispute Resolution and Employment.

In the same year that Higgs LLP is celebrating its 150th anniversary and also as the firm embarks on a dynamic new phase of growth by partnering with August Equity, the firm will continue to build on its long-standing reputation, sustain its core values and invest in its people.

Within the latest edition of the Legal 500 directory, those experts recognised include John Heaton, Richard Griffiths, Nick Taylor, Jamie Partington and Geoff Kettle for Corporate and Commercial. Susheel Gupta, Richard Ferguson, Jonathan Hunter and George Hinchmore are named for their specialist guidance on tax efficiencies.

Matt Dudley, Julia Lowe and James Modley have received recognition for their astute commercial advice whilst Tim Jones, Head of Employment also gets a mention in his specialist area.

Head of Restructuring and Insolvency, Lauren Hartigan-Pritchard is also mentioned alongside Lewis Onions, Suky Mann and Chloe Shilton for their client care.

The Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence teams are praised for their sensitive handling of complex matters - including Clare Langford, Charlotte Measures, Sarah Huntbach, Andy Shaw, Steven Santy, and Simon Stanfield.

The Charity and Not-for-Profit team, led by Kirsty McEwen retained their band 1 ranking again this year with Kirsty, Ellie Williams and Tora Pickup all mentioned by name for their excellent advice.

Philip Barnsley, Rhian Gray and Ellie Norton are recognised for Family Law and our award-winning Property team, headed by Jen Hicks-Jones has retained its band 2 ranking with Sarah Bradford and Maria Nicol also mentioned.
