My key areas of interest are acting for private companies, entrepreneurs and high net worth individuals on their tax structuring to help deliver their key commercial goals. 

I work closely with a number of clients and advisors and have successfully helped a number of clients to exit their business in deals ranging from £1m to £100m in value.

  • I regularly help owner managed businesses on their exit planning on transactions from £1m to over £100m in value to ensure the tax planning is structured in an efficient way.
  • I continue to act as relationship manager for a leading French nursery operator on their UK acquisition programme. The Corporate Tax Team have regularly provided structure and transactional tax support to the UK group.
  • I have implemented a number of management buy outs for clients ranging from £1m to over £50m in value.
  • Acting for the owners of a major jewellery manufacturer on their exit via an Employee Ownership Trust.
  • The major restructure including the implementation of a capital reduction demerger of a £30 million turnover packaging business;
  • Designing and implementing Family Investment Companies for a number of high networth individuals including Lottery Winners;
  • Successfully overturning HMRC decisions at first tier tribunal on appeal.
  • Designing and implementing various employee incentive arrangements for clients with the use of EMI share options and growth shares.
  • Where appropriate we have incorporated a number of clients property portfolios into a corporate vehicle.
