Higgs LLP's annual charity football tournament has raised a record-breaking £27,000 for the West Midlands CARE Team, bringing together businesses from across the region for a day of friendly competition and community spirit.

72 teams took part in the firm's 18th annual six-a-side tournament at Stourbridge Rugby Club, making it one of the biggest events in the tournament's history and indeed, across the local business community generally. The tournament has become a firm fixture in the West Midlands business calendar, and which also attracts many supporters each year, too who attend to cheer on colleagues and loved ones alike. The event once again demonstrated the strength of the local business community and their passion for supporting vital local causes.

The funds raised will support the West Midlands CARE Team, a charity that provides enhanced pre-hospital critical care at serious medical incidents across the region.

The event truly reflects Higgs' core value of ‘Care’ which sits at the heart of the firm's people-driven culture and its commitment to making a positive difference in the communities it serves.

The tournament continues to grow year after year and that wouldn't be possible without the support of everyone who entered a team, sponsored the event, volunteered their time or came along to cheer on their colleagues. Higgs is incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make this year's event such a success.

These latest appointments underlines Higgs’ ambition to grow its real estate practice and continue delivering expert, commercially focused advice and come hot-on-the-heels of Jonathon Forrester joining the firm last week to head the firm’s Employment law team.

We are extremely grateful to Higgs and everyone that either played in the tournament in support of our cause, or that helped to organise such a successful event - the funds raised will allow us to purchase additional ventilators which will help with the vital work we do in saving lives across the West Midlands.
