Award-winning, full-service law firm Higgs LLP has appointed highly-respected lawyer Jonathon Forrester as its new Head of Employment.
Jonathon’s appointment further strengthens the firm's commitment to supporting owner-managed businesses and the people and families who build and run them. It also marks a significant step in the firm’s growth strategy.
Jonathon will lead Higgs' Employment team, working closely with other teams across the business in a range of sectors.
Jonathon joins Higgs from Clarke Willmott, bringing with him extensive experience advising businesses, senior executives and HR professionals on the full spectrum of employment law matters. He has built a strong reputation for helping business owners and leaders navigate complex employment law challenges, from strategic people issues and employment disputes through to business restructures, workplace investigations and employment tribunal claims and TUPE.

Jonathon’s appointment comes just two weeks after Higgs announced its second acquisition - on 1 June 2026 it acquired highly-regarded, Shropshire-based, family-owned firm McKenzie Law adding a third location to the firm’s multi-regional approach to supporting clients. Higgs now has three locations in Dudley, Edinburgh and Shropshire.
