Our Tech & High Growth team advised Future Planet Capital Regional (formerly Midven) (FPC) as lead investor on a £1.5m seed investment round into Saicho, alongside private investors.
Saicho is Solihull-based producer of single-origin sparkling teas which have been launched into fine dining and luxury hospitality across 20 countries. Health-conscious and ‘sober curious’ demographics are rising quickly in the UK and international markets, and this investment aims to put Saicho on the path of becoming a global leader in this space.

FPC deployed capital from the West Midlands Co-Investment (WMCO) fund which formed part of this investment round. Launched in early 2023, the WMCO fund was established to support innovative businesses with up to £1m in matched funding, helping entrepreneurs to expand their operations and fostering growth in the region. We are proud to have advised on a number of transactions in which investment through this fund has been deployed given its significance to the West Midlands start-up ecosystem by bringing new private investor money to the region.
