I am part of the trusts team, having joined Higgs in December 2025. Prior to joining Higgs, I was the head of the trusts team in a law firm in Derbyshire.
I have over 25 years of experience undertaking all aspects of private client work, including acting for business owners, farmers, and landed estates.
In relation to trusts, I undertake all aspects of this work, including the setting up of new trusts, drafting trust legal documentation, dealing with trust registration and compliance, preparing tax returns and trust accounts, and the winding-up of trusts.
I am a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.
- Drafting of a complex deed of appointment to restructure the provisions and powers of a discretionary settlement.
- Calculation of a tenth anniversary inheritance tax charge for a landed estate's family trust comprising agricultural land.
- Drafting of deeds of entail terminating an old 1970s settlement.
