18 May 2026

We’re proud to once again show our support for Headway UK and its annual Action for Brain Injury (ABI) Week, taking place from 18–24 May 2026.

ABI Week is a national awareness campaign that shines a light on the realities of life after brain injury. It’s not just for those directly affected by brain injury but also for their families, their carers, and their wider support networks, too. It raises awareness of the challenging misconceptions that brain injuries carry, and also encourages better support for all those affected, and those caring for them.

Andy Shaw, Head of Personal Injury at Higgs LLP, who is recognised by Headway as a specialist head injury solicitor, supports the campaign, commenting that “Brain injury can be devastating – the impact can be not only physical and cognitive but also emotional and ever-changing.

“For many individuals and their families, that unpredictability can affect every part of life and we are keen to shine a light on organisations, such as Headway, who work hard to support people living with brain injury. We see first-hand how important this is, and how vital their work is. “

This year we’re encouraging everyone to take a moment to learn more about brain injury and to start conversations and get involved.
