As Higgs LLP celebrates its 150th anniversary in 2025, the firm has marked the milestone with Gold accreditation from Investors in People. This distinction is achieved by only a quarter of organisations assessed worldwide.
The award highlights Higgs’ long-standing commitment to putting people at the heart of its success; from its foundation in the Black Country 150 years ago to its position today as a leading regional law firm Higgs is defined by the talent, values and pride of its people.
The assessment shows remarkable progress since 2022, with Higgs improving in eight of the nine indicators and outperforming the Legal Activities sector average across the board. The firm is rated High Performing in Managing Performance, Building Capability and Creating Sustainable Success.
Survey results demonstrate the strength of the culture:
- 97% of colleagues understand the firm’s vision and objectives
- 93% trust the leadership team
- 94% describe Higgs as a great place to work
- 96% believe leaders champion diversity
- 91% agree the firm has a positive impact on society, and
- 95% feel trusted to make decisions in their role.
