Award winning regional law firm, Higgs LLP has launched its Legal Career Insights Scheme this week. The scheme is a two-week work experience programme aimed at Year 12 students, taking place on 2–3 July and 8–9 July.
This scheme has been designed to give students a well-rounded introduction to life at a law firm, and not just from the perspective of becoming a lawyer. Through a mix of work shadowing and interactive employability sessions, students will explore a range of career options which will set them in great stead to make a choice that’s right for them.
During the Higgs’ scheme, students can:
- Shadow Higgs people across a variety of legal and non-legal departments to gain a real 360 view of what life is like in a UK law firm
- Take part in employability workshops which focus on CV writing and interview preparation
- Take a front row seat at an in-depth session on pathways into law with Learning and Knowledge Manager at Higgs, Liz Gwillim which includes university, apprenticeships, and other pathways
- Finally, they can take part in a valuable and engaging live Q&A with Higgs people who’ve taken different routes into the legal profession
Higgs LLP is committed to helping young people make informed decisions about their future careers and showing them that the legal world has a place for many different skills and interests.
