Higgs LLP has retained six newly qualified solicitors across its Brierley Hill and Edinburgh offices, taking the number of trainees who have qualified and continued their careers with the firm this year to 10.
The latest cohort will strengthen teams across Corporate, Family, Succession & Planning, Real Estate Development and Personal Injury, as Higgs continues to grow its business and invest in developing its own talent.
The new cohort is:
- Matthew Bruce – Corporate, Edinburgh
- Charlotte Queenan – Family, Brierley Hill
- Shivangi Gupta – Succession & Planning, Brierley Hill
- Kirsty Goodyear – Real Estate Development, Brierley Hill
- Sarah Arnold – Personal Injury, Brierley Hill
- Molly King – Personal Injury, Brierley Hill
Their qualification follows four trainees who qualified with Higgs in March.
It comes during a significant period of growth for Higgs as it expands its presence across the UK and builds its position as the go-to law firm for owner-managed businesses and the people and families who build and run them. Developing the next generation of lawyers alongside attracting experienced talent is a fundamental part of that strategy.
There is something particularly special about seeing people who started their careers with Higgs qualify as solicitors and choose to continue building those careers with us.
Matthew, Charlotte, Shivangi, Kirsty, Sarah and Molly are six very talented people, and they have each made a real contribution to Higgs during their training. I am incredibly pleased that they will now be doing that as qualified solicitors.
As we grow, we will obviously need to bring great people into Higgs, but developing our own talent is every bit as important. The people joining us at the beginning of their careers today could be leading teams, developing client relationships and shaping our firm for many years to come. That is why our investment in trainees and apprentices matters so much.
Our growth is creating more opportunities across more locations and practice areas, but we are equally determined to preserve what makes Higgs a great place to build a career. Seeing 10 of our trainees qualify and remain with us this year is a really positive measure of that.
