Higgs LLP ("we") are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.
We may collect information about your computer, including obtaining information about your general internet usage by using a cookie file which is stored on the hard drive of your computer.
What is a cookie?
A cookie consists of information sent by a web server to a web browser, and stored by the browser. The information is then sent back to the server each time the browser requests a page from the server. This enables the web server to identify and track the web browser.
We may use both "session" cookies and "persistent" cookies on the website. We will use the session cookies to keep track of you whilst you navigate the website. We will use the persistent cookies to enable our website to recognise you when you visit.
Session cookies will be deleted from your computer when you close your browser. Persistent cookies will remain stored on your computer until deleted, or until they reach a specified expiry date.
What cookies do we use?
We use OneTrust to manage cookie preferences on our website. OneTrust sets a cookie called OptanonConsent that stores details about the cookies on our site and records whether you have given or withdrawn your consent to each cookie category. This cookie lasts for one year.
Our website is built using Microsoft ASP.NET technology. This sets cookies for anti-forgery protection, which help keep your interactions with our website secure, and for storing temporary data whilst you navigate our site. These are session cookies and will be deleted when you close your browser.
We use Google reCAPTCHA to protect our website against spam and malicious automated activity. Google sets cookies as part of this service to help distinguish between humans and bots. Google's privacy policy is available at: http://www.google.com/privacypolicy
We use Cloudflare services on our website. Cloudflare sets a cookie called __cf_bm to support its bot management service. This cookie lasts for one hour.
We use Review Solicitors to collect client reviews. Review Solicitors sets a tracking cookie called rs_tracking_id, which lasts for six months. Further information about how Review Solicitors uses data is available at: http://www.reviewsolicitors.co.uk/privacy-policy/
How can I control cookies?
Most browsers allow you to refuse to accept cookies. For example, in Google Chrome you can refuse all cookies by clicking the three-dot menu, selecting "Settings", then "Privacy and security", and choosing your preferred cookie settings under "Third-party cookies". This will, however, have a negative impact upon the usability of many websites, including this one.
