I work with a broad range of clients, from global manufacturers to owner-managed businesses and start-ups across a broad range of specialist sectors, including technology, retail, automotive, charity and healthcare.
I specialise in drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts including supply agreements, standard and bespoke terms of business, distribution agreements, non-disclosure (confidentiality) agreements and franchise agreements. To provide a great service in carrying out this work, I enjoy getting under the skin of what the client is really trying to achieve and working to help achieve that outcome.
I also provide specialist support with regard to data protection compliance issues. I advise clients as to the development and implementation of internal systems for compliance with data protection laws including risk assessments, data audits, internal policies and training. I also offer support on data protection issues that arise on a daily basis such as subject access requests and data security breaches.
I assist businesses with intellectual property matters and frequently advise on intellectual property licensing, assignment and brand collaborations.
- Conducting a data protection audit and preparing related policies, procedures and contracts for a car dealership network
- Advising on a purchasing agreement between a household name supplier of products relating to home appliances and a company supplying parts/components for those products
- Preparing terms and conditions of sale and distribution agreement documentation for a household name skincare business
- Preparing a franchise agreement for an iconic British fashion brand and advising on the roll-out of the franchise operation worldwide
- Preparing a suite of contracts for use with clients and partners for a publishing group
- Documenting a sponsorship arrangement to be entered into between a company specialising in lift maintenance, repair and installation and a promising up-and-coming boxer
- Preparing an influencer agreement for a well-known online fashion retailer
