Our childcare legal specialists have advised The Old Station Nursery Group on its recent acquisition of Little Green Rascals to its fast-growing nursery portfolio.

Led by Geoff Kettle in our corporate law team, the property-intensive transaction was hugely significant for The Old Station Nursery. Little Green Rascals provided the company with direct access to seven new prime locations in York that care for 550 children per day.

With seven sites to consider, the transaction had a multitude of complexities and, in addition to the inevitable corporate and technical property elements of the transaction, specialist employment and tax advice were required throughout to ensure cohesive completion was delivered across all disciplines and sites.

Through our multi-disciplinary approach, the corporate law, property, employment law and tax teams worked seamlessly to ensure a successful result was delivered and the commercial needs of The Old Station Nursery were met.

This latest acquisition brings the group’s total number of nurseries to 78, and we are extremely excited and proud to be a part of the company’s journey of expansion.
