Variety is the spice of life for Abbie Hodgetts as she starts her Business Administration Apprenticeship journey.

Office Assistant Abbie is relishing the different learning approaches as she takes the first steps in the legal sector.

“Most of the learning is done through reading but there are also videos and activities which help to strengthen my knowledge,” said Abbie.

“There is also a group coaching session where we get to discuss our learning with other people on the same course. This is a great opportunity for a coach to explain the learning further.”

Abbie said she believes apprenticeships are important as they give businesses the chance to develop their people, while also providing a more accessible route to qualifications.

In the long-term Abbie has her sights set on a role within Higgs.

She said: “My apprenticeship will help to achieve my goals by providing me with the opportunity to get experience working in a law firm while also gaining a qualification. This will be useful when I am looking to progress.”
