Daniel Woodcock has embarked on a Level 7 Solicitor Apprenticeship as he continues to strive towards his goal of becoming a solicitor.
Daniel has already completed a Business Administrator Level 3 apprenticeship which helped him find his feet in the legal world.
“My previous apprenticeship gave me the knowledge of how to interact with colleagues and clients in a professional manner and how to build a positive brand that will follow me throughout my career,” said Daniel.
“The level 7 apprenticeship will give me the understanding of the services provided by Higgs as it goes into more depth behind the legal knowledge needed to support our clients.
“It will provide me with the day-to-day skills and behaviours I need to become a solicitor. I’m most excited to be able to learn in ways that are tailored to me by focusing on materials and tasks that reflect my learning style.
“I’m very grateful to Higgs for the opportunity and I’m going to give it everything I have.”
The Level 7 Solicitor Apprenticeship aims to help people gain independence and confidence in a workplace environment. It builds on communication and human skills, technical understanding and attention to detail to increase employability.
Daniel said he believes apprenticeships help produce a more varied, vibrant workforce.
He said: “Apprenticeships provide a wider recruitment pool, allowing for potential employees who may not favour the educational route.
“Additionally, it allows firms to build a strong community of people who both want and need
education as well as preparing them for their future career.”
