Apprenticeships are a vital part of the Higgs LLP growth and inclusion strategy.

The firm currently has 11 employees going through an apprenticeship – with four of those having started in the last 12 months.

The apprentices are studying for various legal and non-legal qualifications while learning on the job with highly-experienced colleagues.

This week, as part of National Apprenticeship Week, we’ll be turning the spotlight on the four new recruits and finding out how they’ve settled into their new roles.

Higgs commits over 4,000 hours of study time per year for its apprentices – and supervisors also allocate their time to ensure each apprentice is on track and has all the support they need.

Managing Partner Nick Taylor said: “Higgs has a proud record with apprentices and helping our people develop their skills and either start or progress their careers.

“We have many successful lawyers and specialists who started at the firm as apprentices. It has been rewarding to watch them progress and develop as individuals.
