Many cooks don’t spoil the broth!

They are used to using their expertise to resolve complex legal issues but the team at leading law firm Higgs & Sons has caused quite a stir in a very different way.

Colleagues at Higgs & Sons have put their culinary talents on display by contributing 16 recipes for ‘The Larder Lockdown’ e-cookbook.

The charity initiative is designed to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust, the nominated charity for Higgs & Sons in 2020, with the e-book being available to purchase for a minimum donation of £5.

The recipes cater for both sweet and savoury tastes and include a Rhubarb and Custard Tart, an Indian Shepherd’s Pie and a Berry Smoothie.

Tim Jones, Head of CSR at Higgs & Sons, said: “We normally have a very busy diary of fundraising activity but coronavirus has put paid to the vast majority of that for 2020.

“We’ve tried to be creative with other fundraising activities and The Larder Lockdown will hopefully prove an entertaining and informative read for those that make the purchase.

“With there still being a number of weeks to go before this second national lockdown is scheduled to end, there is plenty of chance for people to test out the recipes selected by our talented team and help us raise some vital funds for the Teenage Cancer Trust.”
